car camp under the perseids meteor shower and hike wheeler peak in nevada. - August 8, 2026

Updated July 14. We will set up camp and if we want, we can tour Lehman caves. It is a good dark sky to watch the meteor shower, but if not, we will make a group decision as to where to go. On Sunday, we will hike up Wheeler Peak in Nevada second highest peak, and then head home after that.
