car camp- hiking the highest peaks in sanpete, carbon, and emery county - July 10, 2026
Come Join the GOAT challenges. It is to hike to the highest point in every county starting in 2026 and finishing up by December 2027. Look for previous posts for other peaks.
Camp in Sanpete and hit South Tent Mountain and North Tent Mountain (5 miles round trip). Drive to Emery County. Camp and the next morning hike East Benchmark (6 miles round trip). Hopefully, the wildflowers will be out. Then drive to Carbon County and hike Monument Peak (1 mile round trip) and head home.
Dates TBF. Watching wildflower season, fires, and weather before firming up the dates and logistics. Please email if interested.
