relaxed paced hike to the top of white baldy - July 26, 2026

Relaxed pace doesn't mean easy. This hike is intended for hikers who want to get to the top of a big one, but want a bit more time to tackle it. The group will hike to the upper Red Pine lakes, but while the rest of the crowd turns right for the Pfeifferhorn (named after 1938 WMC President Chick Pfeiffer), we'll go straight up through the steep boulder field and catch the ridge just before the White Baldy peak. We'll have an early start and plan on a 10 hour hiking day. We'll be in wilderness so the group will be limited to 10 like-minded hikers. This hike is rated 11.7 on the most current WMC Hike ratings table https://www.wasatchmountainclub.org/hike/HikeRatings_DanSmith_ByName.pdf
