| What a gift we have in Albion Basin! One would be hard-pressed to find such a beautiful spot so rich with wild flowers, especially this close to a valley with 1.2 million people. Unfortunately, this precious gem of land is not a secret, and confusion was the modus operandi when it came to finding a place to park. Thank goodness for cell phones! The majority of us finally found each other and leisurely made our way up to the ocean of flowers and streams. The weather was perfect with light cloud cover and warm air. As always, it was fun to see old friends and meet new people. We ran into other WMC friends on our way down. When we got back to the parking area, we realized that we were lucky to have gotten a place at all - totally packed. Proof that the early riser does indeed get the reward. |
