day hike - left fork baldy, provo/near strawberry reservoir - August 8, 2026
We plan to hike to Left Fork Baldy (9198 ft) and maybe some other peaks, weather, conditions and situation permitting. I have hiked in the area but not to this peak. It is possible to get to the peak from the Provo side or the Strawberry Reservoir side. At this point, I am considering to do this peak from the Strawberry Reservoir side. On trail and class 2 off trail. From the Strawberry Reservoir side - distance depending on how much we want to be on trail. Elevation gain is not a lot. From the Provo side - 10 miles RT with 3730 ft gain. Exploratory. Please bring 10 essentials. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, Aug 7, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8.
