day hike to sunset peak via albion basin - July 17, 2026

We will hike up to Sunset Peak via Catherine's Pass and Albion Basin. I suggest starting at upper lot at Alta to enjoy the basin which will be in full bloom. It only adds a little over a mile to the hike and if we get lucky we'll get to see the resident family of red foxes. We can also make a little detour via the top of Supreme lift where the meadow is covered with flowers for a total of about 7 miles. I encourage everyone to carpool.
