hikes - grizzly peak & more, colorado - October 14, 2026
We plan to hike to Grizzly Peak (13,434 ft) via Loveland Pass in Colorado. We will bag Cupid (13, 125 ft) and Peak 12941 on the way to the summit. Class 2. 5.6 miles RT with 2,837' gain. I have hiked the first part of the route. We plan to do an optional acclimatization hike to several 12k peaks on the day before. The planned schedule is: Oct 14 W Road trip to CO; Oct 15 Thu acclimatization hike; Oct 16 Fri Grizzly Peak hike; Oct 17 Sat Road trip to UT. Partial participation is fine. There is no camp site near the TH. Those who want to camp should check campgrounds in the area. At this point (7/26/26), the organizer plans to stay at a hotel in Keystone or nearby town.
